You need to be at least 16 and if you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian will need to sign your enrolment form. But remember, you&rsquo;re never too old to study for success with AIPT!

How old do I have to be to study at AIPT?

Personal Trainers are mentors, role models and motivators &ndash; so while being fit isn&rsquo;t a prerequisite to study, you have to be able to keep up with your clients! Great Personal Trainers are passionate about improving people&rsquo;s health and fitness, so naturally, you should be aware of your own, especially when you are the face of your own business.&nbsp;
If you&rsquo;re passionate about health and fitness, you&rsquo;re halfway there and gaining the skills and knowledge to mentor others could be all that&rsquo;s needed for a successful career in fitness.

How fit do I have to be to study at the AIPT? 

To enrol in one of our courses, simply fill out our quick and easy enquiry form and one of our Career Advisors will be in touch with you shortly to complete the enrolment process over the phone.&nbsp;

How do I enrol? 

There are many different payment options, depending on your chosen course and your selected delivery mode, including:&nbsp;
Instalment Plan&nbsp;
Deposit + the remainder of your course cost to be paid within 12 months.&nbsp;
Up-Front Payment&nbsp;
Deposit + the remainder of the course cost to be paid within 30 days.&nbsp;

Does AIPT help you get a job once you have completed your course? 

Your weekly study load will depend on your chosen course and delivery mode. Our courses are designed to be completed at your own pace, in your own time meaning you can fast-track your studies and graduate sooner if you wish or take your time so you can focus on work or family commitments.
To help you stay on track and complete your course within the desired timeframe, you will be provided with an individual study plan upon enrolment.&nbsp;

How many hours a week will I need to spend on study? 

For courses where the theory component is delivered online, you can enrol and start studying whenever it suits you.&nbsp;
Depending on your chosen <a href="https://www.aipt.edu.au/our-flexible-delivery-options">delivery option</a> and your location, commencement dates for our face-to-face fitness and nutrition courses will vary. When can I start my course? 

As people become more health conscious, there will always be a demand for fitness professionals. <a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://nationalindustryinsights.aisc.net.au/industries/sport-fitness-and-recreation/fitness">Research done by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee</a>, the employment level in the Sports and Physical Recreation Activities industry rose substantially over the period between 2001 and 2019 (from around 43,100 to 117,800), however dropped by almost half in 2020 to 61,000 before increasing again in 2021 to 104,200. Employment levels are projected to remain steady at this level to 2025.&nbsp;

Are personal trainers in demand?  

A Certificate-level qualification with AIPT will enable you to apply for entry-level positions in the fitness industry.&nbsp;
A Diploma-level qualification will enable you to refine your industry knowledge and/or progress into managerial or high-level positions within your chosen industry.     &nbsp;
